The Battle of The Mind

In a battle, two things are certain. One person or team wins, while the other looses.

“The mind is an element of a person that enables them to be aware of the world and their experiences, to think, and to feel; the faculty of consciousness and thought” Oxford Lexico dictionary.

Have you ever had to fight thoughts in your mind or psych yourself to believe something contrary to what you’re used to? The truth is, everyone has.

So it’s okay to say the mind is a battle field. So many things can feed the mind but we have to be in charge of what feeds and settles in our minds.

Our beings are so strong that nothing can be made manifest without it being approved, in the mind and spirit.  Little wonder Yoga and Buddhism capitalize on the mind, but there’s more to us than this.

Due to how invaluably your mind is, the devil fights hard to ensure your mind is filled with thoughts of negativity. What people say, what you watch, read and do fuels your mind.

The mind is a battle field and you’re the rightful owner of that property. Therefore, you should be the Lord and King over it.

Permitting negative thoughts results in bad endings (You loose in the mind, spirit, body, soul/eternity).

By filling them with positive things, you win in all ramification and even influence others to win.

2 steps to winning the battle of the mind.

It’s not an easy battle. No battle is, but start with these first 2 steps to winning the battle of the mind.

  • Read and meditate on the word of God. That is, the Bible
This way, you’re so filled with what God says about you that anything contrary to this, your mind automatically detects it as a lie and let’s you know it’s the devils strategy to bring you down.
  • Take a step at a time. Start with positive thoughts about yourself. Philippians 4:8 Recall compliments, say nice things to yourself, remember a talent or skill you have.

We are all a work in progress but one thing we must never do, is let the devil creep into our minds. Don’t let him even start.

‘We can demolish every deceptive fantasy that opposes God and break through every arrogant attitude that is raised up in defiance of the true knowledge of God. We capture, like prisoners of war, every thought and insist that it bow in obedience to the Anointed One’. 2 Corinthians 10:5 TPT
