Hawking Into Destiny

You probably have heard of Olajumoke Orisaguna’s story. The Agege bread seller who earned a modelling contract, after photobombing into a Tinie Tempah’s fashion shoot taken by Ty Bello.

The story didn’t end there neither does it seem like it will be ending anytime soon, as Olajumoke seems to be blessed with daily doses of unimaginable favour.

A few days ago, she was officially signed in as the campaign face of online retailer Pay Porte, a contract worth over 1 million.  (Note: The highest agege bread is sold for about 250naira, nothing indicates she can ever earn or see that amount in her life time).

Sujimoto Construction company gave her a furnished luxury apartment in Lagos and Poise Finishing School, Nigeria accepted her as a student in their academy.

As if the real life movie won’t end, on the 15th of February 2016, a day after Valentine’s day, God proved his extreme love for her by giving her a big vals gift every mother would cherish. Stanbic IBTC offered to pay her children’s education up to university level. Talk about favour like a movie…

Some call it ‘hawking into destiny’, some say its ‘supernatural favour’, others tag it “Anything can happen, you just be at the right place at the right time”.

I agree with them all; but I call it 1Corinthians 1:27. God capitalizing on the foolish things of the world to confound the wise, rich, famous and mighty. Check my last post on HOW FOOLISH THINGS CAN SAVE YOUR LIFE to understand why I said so.

This week, I’ll like to ask you a major question?

Are you where God wants you to be?

  1. Olajumoke was where God wanted her to be, doing what God wanted her to do – hawking on the streets of Sabo market in Yaba. Her reward was a 360 degrees turnaround in status, wealth and destiny.
  2. Joseph was where God wanted him to be – a slave in Egypt. His reward was that he became a renowned and foremost Agricultural economist/manager who saved not just nations from the stings of famine but his own brothers who sold him out to slavery.
  3. Mary was where God wanted her to be. A respectable woman engaged to Joseph. She chose to listen to God despite the fact that people may say she wasn’t a woman of dignity. Her reward was; she became the mother of mothers. A respectable woman and mother who bore the Son of God, the Saviour Jesus Christ.

Stop and Think… Am I where God wants me to be?

Don’t be moved by what people say or what people would say. Don’t be moved by what they may think or how they will look at you. Don’t succumb to negative voices in your head.

You are a leader. Take your rightful place, doing what God wants you to do. Going where he wants you to go.

Ask yourself. Am I on the right job, relationship, making money the right way, keeping the right friends, saying and watching the right things, and doing all that God wants me to be?

If you can’t confidently say YES to all of these questions, ask God, Where he wants you to be and be there. Being where God wants you to be is the ONLY way you can have answered prayers.

Its the only way your dreams according to his purpose can come to pass. Romans 8:28. This my friend is how to hawk into your destiny.

I Love You & God Bless You

  2. Wow. Great post. Having a right standing with God is one sure way of not missing ones blessing. Look at how offers were coming from front, left, right and center;. This is truly a perfect example of this scripture: Amos 9:13 (MSG). Things will happen so fast and our head will swim…

  3. you’ve said what needs to be said: our lives have been scripted by the Almighty. it bemoans on us to act out the script appropriately. Thanks for sharing!
