And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19 NIV
Do you know that this promise which we often confess was actually a prayer by Apostle Paul? The prayer was provoked by the continuous giving of the Philippians.
They had giving him on two occasions. The second occasion was obviously a thoughtful, abundant and pleasing gift. The gift was so pleasing it caused him to admit that though he wasnt dependent on their gift, He was greatly pleased. As a result, here is what Apostle Paul said:
“I am amply supplied, now that I have received from Epaphroditus the gifts you sent. THEY ARE A FRAGRANT OFFERING, AN ACCEPTABLE SACRIFICE, PLEASING TO GOD” Philippians 4: 16-17
That’s not all… It was after declariing the gift was pleasing to God, Apostle Paul went ahead to say “And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus” Philippians 4:19 NIV
Now that you know the short and simpled story behind this often confessed promise, would you be smart enough to provoke your blessings today. It’s Christmas, what better time to give and receive. If you are in need or want of anything? Then Give.

- 2Corinthians 8:12– For if the willingness is there, the gift is acceptable according to what one has, not according to what one does not have.

This is true. Being a giver reveals the sonship in us. God our father is an awesome giver but he seeks the HONOUR we bring him in our giving and sacrifices more. Proverbs 3:9.
Very True! Ma’am. Proverbs 3:9, NLT: “Honor the LORD with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce.”
Great Insight..
