Oranmo Nise Fayati – The Mighty One Who Sends You On A Mission and Backs You Up
I recall watching an action movie a few months ago; in the movie, the government authorities of a first world country contracted a skilled group on a mission to execute a massive illegal project.
After successfully executing this project, the government authorities decided to kill all members of the group. Shocking right? Apparently, they desperately wanted to clean up all evidence and witnesses. The movie didn’t end without the government authorities having a hard time as well. In a bid to revenge, the skilled group broadcasted the dark secret of the government through the media. Despite the media publishing their evil deeds, the government denied all allegations and proof and instead framed someone else.
I then took a step back to mentally review the movie and realized it was a rather familiar story line. As I have watched several action movies in which the person who sends on a mission frames up or kills the one(s) who carries out the mission either at the end of the mission or while still on the mission. Unfortunately, the bitter truth is that movies are not at all far from reality. They are either a reflection of what took place in the past, present or will take place in the future.
Then a phrase dropped in my spirit, “Oranmo Nise To Fayati” A Yoruba phrase which means, the one who sends one on an errand and backs him/her up completely. He backs the person up with his chest, His very essence.
This phrase was inspired by a spontaneous worship by TY Bello & Dunsin Oyekan
Whatever the task or responsibility God assigned to you; be it to sow a seed, manage a new role at work, to mentor someone, to run a business or start your ministry, to care for your home & spouse, to nurture a child, whatever the task may be, yes things can get overwhelming, with challenges and obstacles to make you weary but be rest assured, God who gave you that responsibility will surely back you up fully and will supply all you need to succeed.
Don’t forget, you have a heavenly father who is ‘Oranmo Nise To Fayati’. His right arm cannot lose its power. Isaiah 41:10
“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
Isaiah 41:10 NIV
When you’re feeling discouraged, say it out loud, “Oranmo Nise Fayati, God has sent me and He will back me up”
Remember, those who are for you are more than those who are against you. Do not be afraid! 2 Kings 6:16
Enjoy the song!
